1st day Budapest – Oradea – Satu Mare

After breakfast, at the Romanian border in Bors, the group will bewellcome by the Romanian travel line – by a guide, who will accompany them in the whole journey and way in Romania. Dinner and overnight accomodation ,here, in Satu Mare.
2 nd day Satu Mare- Sapanta, Suceava

Breakfast in the morning. After the breakfast, the group goes in the villageof Sapanta, which is situated in the Carpathians, where they will visit the “merry cemetery”. Here lays a large cementery, generally full of blue colored wood, where all the funeral stones are inscripted with merry words, happy faces, which are talking about the deceaseds lives, about their occupations, their families, etc. On the way, the group will continue the journey, visiting the well-known wood churches from Ieud (Bogdan Voda, Rozalvea, Birsana), which are identical to the staff churches from Norway. In Bogdan Voda are to be seen archaeologicalexacavations made in last 20 years, a Christian cementery, a feudal residence, the ruins of a stone church, as well as a monastery which dates back since the 13th century. The village Ieud is situated 50 km away from Sighet in the Iza Valley. The village is famous due to its wood church, which is one of the largests old constructions of Romania. It is called wood cathedral of gothical cathedral and is the most beautiful one of the 31 old wood churches of the Maramures area.Rozalvea is a large locality in the Iza Valley. The church is one of the most beautiful contruction works in Romania. It was built between 1717 and 1720.
In the afternoon, the group will cross the Prislop Pass, in order to reachSuceava – the former capital of the Romanian “Moldaviae”, where are to be seen many onjects of interest. The tourists will visit the old fortress of the city. Dinner and overnight accomodation in Suceava area or environment at a 3* Hotel.

3rd Day Suceava - Campulung Moldovenesc – Suceava

Breakfast in the morning. The group begins to visit the MoldovitaMonastery, worldwide know due to its external wall painting. The tourist have here the opportunity to be introduced into the world of the orthodox faith by Sister Tatjana. It`s very interresting to know that the Church was painted five years after its donation in 1532. Here the group can see scenes from the Bible. The monastery received museum furniture from the 16th century : the armchair of the founder, Petru Rares. Over the Obcina mountain was built the SucevitaMonastery, where the group can recognize another painting style. The fresces are painted in a predominantly green background. This monastery possesses, among other things, the most beautiful Ikonostase from all country. The chruch ofSucevita is the most visited monastery from Bucovina. The painting, which brought the surname “Green Juwell”, is painted with thousands of persons, angels and martyrs, prophets and bishops. In the proximity, there is also the ceramicscenter of Marginea, where one can see the production of black ceramics . TheVoronet Monastery, which is called "The Sixtine Chapel" of Romania, is visited in the afternoon. The monastery Voronet disappeared, and now you can only see its ruins; the monastery was built by Stephen the Great, in the 15th century. ". In the afternoon the group will visit Humor and Arbore monasteries. The Arboremonastery is very small, but likewise very famous for its fresces. The large and repeated attaks of the Turks and Cossaks profanated the Putna monastery. In the evening - folklore dinners and overnight accomodation in Suceava area or environment 3* Hotel .

4th day Campulung Moldovenesc – Sibiu

In the morning, the group goes to the Tihuta Passthrough. A first stop is made in Bistrita. Here they can see the Evanghelist Church from the 14th Century with their guild flags. Afterwards, they travel to Targu Mures, and then toSighisoara. This is the most beautiful day of the trip due to the gorgeous landscapes in the Carpathians. In the afternoon, in Targu Mures, tourists will visit the Culture Palace, the largest Orthodox Church in Romania, and the shopping centre. On the way, the group can buy souveniers. Afterwards, they will go toSighisoara, a city which is often compared with Salzburg. The objects of interest here are the old Clock Tower, the birth house of Count Dracula, the MountainChurch, as well as Josef Haltrich High School. The most beautiful medieval city rises on a wooded hill. Along the fortress wall, still stand 9 towers with roofs guards, which were at the beginning 14. This impressive building from the 14thcentury burned up in a fire in 1676, exception make the ammunition camp, the vault and the historical museum-which is now a reproduction of an old farmacyfrom the 17th century. A short stop is made in Biertan, at the largest ChurchCastle in Romania, in the afternoon. In the late afternoon, the group drives toBrasov. Here are being visited : the old part of the town, the Black Church –the largest gothical construction in Eastern Europe. Here lie a lot of valuable Turkish Carpets. In the proximity, the old City Hall can be also visited. Dinner and overnight accomodation in a 3* Hotel.

5th day Sibiu – Arad

Breakfast. In the morning city round course in Sibiu (Hermannstadt).Tourists will have a short walk in the old part of the town and then will take a visit to the Bruckenthal Museum. At the same time, the group can also visit thoseGothical Cathedrals, which were the seats of the Evanghelist bishops fromRomania. The group will visit short stop in Cilnic (Kellin) around the old ChurchCastle. Subsequently, we stop in Sebes (Muehlbach) where one can see the Evangelist cathedral. In Alba Iulia (Karl castle) there is to see the Catholic Cathedral, which is the seat of the bishop. With this opportunity one can visit also the fortress which was built by Eugen of Savoyen. At noon also the inspection ofAlba Iulia (Karl Castle) is located in the program, where one can see still parts of the fortress built by Eugen of Savoyen. By the victory gate of the castle one recognizes the emperor Karl the VI, the father of Maria Theresia, as a Roman general. In the past, the fortress became also a cathedral. Cathedral visits, where an important part of the Hungarian kings are buried. Our travel continues to Deva(Diemrich) and Hunedoara, (the city, a large ironworks center, is well-known for their impressive lock). The plant built on the Roman wall remainds the Hungarian king Sigismund - which later became German emperor. Today a style mixture from Gothik and Renaissance is to be seen. Dinner and overnight accomodationin Arad.

6th Day Arad - Hungary

Breakfast. Arad is the last Romanian city, which is visited during this round trip and which had a large upswing also in the time of Maria Theresia. In Nadlac tourists say good-bye to the Romanian guide, who was the whole time with them thereby.
