1st day . U.K. - Bucharest - Targoviste
Arrival at the airport of Bucharest Otopeni. Meeting with the Romanian tour guide and journey to the direction of Targoviste. Stay and visit of the monastery of Dealu. Dinner and overnight stay in Targoviste or Pitesti(3*Hotel).
2nd day . Targoviste - Sibiu
Breakfast. Journey to Sibiu (Hermann's town).On the way, a visit ofCurtea de Arges, the old capital of the country. Here, one is able to see the large monastery which, last century, was silently transformedmaurish, and where the tombs of the Romanian king Karl the First and Ferdinand are. The journey will continue to Sibiu with a short stop at the monastery of Cozia (14 Jh) which is near the Red Tower Pass. Dinner and overnight stay in Sibiu (3*Hotel).
3rd day. Sibiu - Christian - Orlat - Sibiel - Sibiu
In the morning we go in the west direction. The first stay is in the village Christian (gross sow) where one can see the church castle from the 15th century. The journey continues further by visiting Orlat(mountain Wins) around the palace and garden of Samuel von Bruckental.Afternoon arrival in Sibiel (booth brook), for seeing the famous Glass IconMuseum. Dinner with the mountain farmers in Sibiel. Go back to Sibiu. Dinner and overnight stay in Sibiu (3*Hotel)
4th day. Sibiu - Alba - Iulia - Sibiu
Breakfast. During morning we explore the medieval center of Sibiu: Sibiuwas always a spiritual and economic center of the German minority inRomania. We visit the three most important ones in the town, the Protestant, orthodox and Catholic church. The inspection of theBruckental museum with it's art is in our program, also it's one of the oldest in S-E Europe. Afternoon journey to Alba-Iulia, the town of the Romanian union. The Catholic and the orthodox cathedrals are on the program in Alba-Iulia. Drive back to Sibiu dinner and overnight stay inSibiu (3*Hotel).
5th day. Sibiu - Rasinari - Sibiu - Mosna - Media - Biertan - Medias
Breakfast. Today we leave Sibiu and in the morning we visit the mountain farmers of Rasinari. The way leads by young forest of Sibiu. A short stay in Rasinari and Casnadioara (Michel's mountain) to visit the old church castle. Then we go north-east to Agnita (Agneteln). From distance, there are numerous villages with Church Castles built in 15th and 16th century. The nice scenery makes a very good impression on every guest as this idyllic area continues. The way leads us to Hârtibaciu River Valley. The most important Saxon church castles we see to this day are: Altina(Alzin), Birgis (Buergisch), Pelisor (Magarei) and Mosna (Meschen). In the afternoon we arrive at Medias. Medias is one of seven historical castles from Transylvania (Transilvanien). The journey continues to Biertan(Bierthaelm). On the way we attend to some church castles in Kokeltal, namely Atel (Hetzel village), Dupus (Tobs village) followed by Biertan, which is the largest church castle in Transylvania. Returning to CopsaMica (Grosskopisch), Valchid (forest huts) and Hoghilag (Halwelagen) andDumbraveni (Elisabethstadt) to Medias. Dinner and overnight stay in Medias or surroundings (3*Hotel).
6th day. Medias - Sighisoara - Brasov - Poiana Brasov
After breakfast, we drive through the romantic scenery of Transylvania toSighisoara (castle Schäss).The town also is also known as the "Nuremberg of Transylvania". In the middle of the town stands a mighty castle, the best preserved in Transylvania. The 64-m-high clock tower from the 14th centurty can be visited from the fortress Sighisoara (castleSchäss) along with your places of interest (clock tower, birthplace of Dracula, mountain church, etc.).We go to Crit (German's croup), People's Village, Jilbert (castle Sei) and Dacia (stone).Here, the surroundings of mind wood are one of the best known forest districts of Transylvania. From Brasov (Kronstadt) we go further up to Poiana Brasov(Schullerau).Dinner in Brasov or Poiana Brasov. Overnight stay in Brasovor surroundings. (3*Hotel).
7th day. Brasov - Bran - Brasov
Breakfast. City tour in the Brasov (Kronstadt). The faimous "Black Church" with it's 65.6m high towers. It is the landmark of Brasov. We can make a short journey to Risnov (Rosenau), further in the direction of the Bran castle (castle Törz). Here you visit the castle Bran which belonged to prince Vlad Tepes whom many believe to be count Dracula. In the evening you are invited in the restaurant Carpathian Mountains for entertainment and the dinner in medieval atmosphere. Overnight stay inBrasov or surroundings (3*Hotel).
8th day. Brasov - Sinaia
Journey from the Prahova valley in the Bucegi mountains to Sinaia. Air health resort Sinaia acquired the name "Pearl of the Carpathian Mountains" silently as the king withdrew from the hot capital into the castle park from Peles. The beauty of the landscape at the feet of Bucegimountains had enchanted the young German princes Carl vonHohenzollern, who became Carol the I, King of Romania. With Sinaia it copied itself a bit homeland: In 1883 castle Peles was finished.Opportunity to visit castle Peles. During the visit. make short stop around the orthodox monastery. Dinner and overnight accomodation in Brasov or environment (3*Hotel).
9th day. Sinaia - Bucharest - UK
In the morning after the breakfast, drive on from Sinaia to Bucharest the" Paris of the East". During the city tour you can see magnificent boulevards, churches and historical object of interest, visit the village museum, the People’s Palace (the second largest building of the world) and the Metropol Cathedral .
