1st day .United Kingdom - Bucharest – Brasov

Line flight from Stuttgart - Prague - Bucharest. Reception by your Romanian travel management which will accompany you during your stay. First on the program is the visit of the castle Peles. This was the summer residence the Romanian royal family of the Hohenzollern. Afterwards, the journey continues to Brasov. Room reservation, dinner and overnight stay in Brasov/Predeal.

2nd day Brasov - Church Castles

In the morning, a town stroll along with the visit of the "Black Church" (the biggest Gothic sacred construction of East Europe), the old City Hall, as well as the Orthodox Church in the Old Town. With the cable railway, you arrive on the Mountain Timpa. In the afternoon, a visit of the Saxon Church Castles in the Northern parts of Brasov. For centuries the Church Castle from Prejmer (Tartlau) has defended Brasov against the predatory attacks of the Turks. In the connection visit of Bran Castle, also known as the Castle of Dracula. Dinner and overnight stay in Brasov/Predeal.

3th day Brasov - Sibiu

After the breakfast you will be driven next to Sighisoara . Here the Clock Tower, the birthplace of Dracula, as well as the Mountain Church will be attended. In the afternoon detailed visit of the biggest Saxon Church Castle of Romania. Biertan was untill the end of the 19th century the seat of the Protestant bishops from Transylvania. In the evening, you reach Sibiu. Dinner and overnight stay.

4th day. Sibiu - Baia Mare

The morning begins with a town walk in Sibiu. In the Old Town, the Big and Small Ring as well as the Liar's Bridge will be visited. Afterwards, a visit of the Protestant cathedral, current seat of the bishops. Also, here is where the son of Dracula, Mihnea the Bad is buried. Afterwards a journey to Cluj Napoca in Baia Mare. Dinner and overnight stay.

5th day. Baia Mare - Gura Humorului

The morning begins by heading up north to the Ukrainian border. Here you'll visit the "Cheerful Cemetery" fromSapanta. On every gravestone there is an amusing poem about the dead. Thus the people mock death.Afterwards, a journey by the Iza Valley in the direction of Bucovina. On the way you see the Wooden Churches inRozavlea, Bogdan Voda and Barsana. These are very similar to the Stuff Churches from Norway. In the afternoon, a journey over the Prislop Pass of the East Carpathians in the Northern part of the Moldavia area. Dinner and overnight stay at Gura Humorului.

6th day. Monastery round trip.

In the morning, a journey to the world-renowned monastery of Moldovita, because of its outer wall paintings.Afterwards, a journey over the mountain Obcina up to the monastery of Sucevita. Here, one can also recogniseon the outer wall paintings, scenes from the Bible, as well as scenes from the history of the Romanian people.Afterwards, a journey to the ceramic centre from Marginea. Here black ceramics are still burnt after the old technology. In the afternoon, a visit from "Capella Sixtina" of Romania, to the monastery of Voronet. Here one can admire a wonderful representation of the "Last Judgement". Dinner and overnight stay at Gura Humorului.

7th day. Gura Humorului - Piatra Neamt

The morning begins by heading South. The first stop in the monastery of Neamt. It was founded by prince Stefan the Big in the 15th century. In the afternoon you reach Piatra Neamt from where you undertake a journey to theBicaz reservoir (possibility for a short walk by the gulch) and in the small place Lacu Rosu. Dinner and overnight stay in Piatra Neamt.

8th day. Piatra Neamt - Tulcea.

Breakfast will be followed by a journey to the Southern parts of Moldavia. The area is very rich in vineyards. The journey continues from Galati to the biggest harbour on the Danube. You will cross the river with a ferry.Afterwards, a journey along the Danube to Tulcea, the gate in the Danube delta. Dinner and overnight stay.

9th Danube delta

Today you'll undertake a journey on the Danube Delta by ship. One drives from Sulina to Crisan on the main canal. There, from the old Danube to the pelican's reserve on the lake of fortune.

Lunch is served to you on board. In the afternoon, you drive past the Nebunu Lake by the canal of mile 36 back toTulcea. Dinner and overnight stay.

10th day. Tulcea – Constanta - Mamaia

After breakfast, you will be brought back to the to the Black Sea coast. On a city tour you'll get to know the portConstanta. From the central place Ovidiu, your tour guide shows you the places of interest of the town, among other things: the Vaults from Roman time, the Big Mosque and the Marmorne Casino. Afterwards, you'll attend the Archaeological Museum with its exhibits from the most different art epochs and cultural epochs. Dinner and overnight stay in the bathing resort Mamaia.

11th day Mamaia - Bucharest

In the morning, you will be driven to Bucharest. After the arrival, you'll undertake a city tour, you'll see among other things, the Royal castle, the Revolutionary Place, the Old Court Church and the Caravanserais. Dinner and overnight stay.

12th day. Bucharest - home flight

In the morning, a visit of Ceausescu's „House of the People“ is on the program, which serves today as a parliament and congressional building. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport of Bucharest and a home flight to United Kingdom.
