                CARPATHIAN MOUNTAINS - TRANSYLVANIA
1st DAY – UK – BUCHAREST
The group arrives in Bucharest by plane, with a line flight from UK. They will be wellcomed here by a romanian guide. The capital of Romania, with over 2 million inhabitants is one of the largest cities of the East. After almost three hours of travel the group reaches Bucharest. Bucharest is surnamed the "Paris of the East" - a shepherd gave this name to the cityBucur- Bucuresti. During the city tour, the group will see architectural monuments dating back from the “bark to epoque”, the Arch of Triumph, the monument of the Roman Wolf Female  with Romulus and Remus.Bucharest experienced many dark times in the run of the centuries- like its distruction causes by the Turks in 1595. The country`s capital is called also the “Paris of the Balkans”. The group will undertake a round travel and see the National Theatre, the University of Bucharest, the Church of the Patriarchy and buildings from the 20th century, which were established under the dictator Ceausescu, and, if possible, the Palace of the Parliament – the second largest building (as surface) after the Pentagon worldwide. Afterwards, the group will visit the Patriarchy Cathedral – the seat of the Prthodox head of Romania, the VillageMuseum. Then they will go to Pitesti, cross the Carpathians and reachSibiu. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Sibiu.
 
2nd DAY SIBIU – SIGHISOARA – TARGU MURES
Tourists will have breakfast in the morning. Today, the group will see the towns: Sibiu, Sighisoara and Brasov. The group arrives at Sibiu. During a short walk in the old part of town , you arrive at the Bruckenthal museum. Here are to be seen some of the most valuable paintings of Romania. At the same time one can also visit the Gothical Church, which was the seat of the Evanghelist bishops from Romania. The group will arrive also atSighisoara. This city is often compared with Salzburg. The objects of interest of the city are the old Clock Tower, the birth house of the prince Dracula, the mountain church, as well as the Josef Haltrich High School. The most beautiful medieval city of Romania rises on a wooded hill. In the center of the city rises the 429 meters high castle mountain, on whose highest point, mountain church and mountain school are visible far away. The group will leave for Targu Mures, where they will be accommodated.
 
3rd DAY 
After breakfast, the group will visit St. Michael`s Cathedral (which is often compared with Sf. Stephan`s Cathedral from Vienna) from the old part of the town. Neaby the tourists will be able to see the statue of the Hungarian King Mathias Corvinus. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Satu Mare, at a 3* hotel.
 
4th DAY SATU MARE – SAPANTA  - SUCEAVA
Breakfast in the morning. After the breakfast, the group goes in the village ofSapanta,  which is situated in the Carpathians, where they will visit the “merry cemetery”. Here lays a large cementery, generally full of blue coloredwood, where all the funeral stones are inscripted with merry words, happy faces, which are talking about the deceaseds lives, about their occupations, their families, etc. On the way, the group will continue the journey, visiting the well-known wood churches from Ieud (Bogdan Voda, Rozalvea,Birsana), which are identical to the staff churches from Norway. In BogdanVoda are to be seen archaeological exacavations made in last 20 years, a Christian cementery, a feudal residence, the ruins of a stone church, as well as a monastery which dates back since the 13 th century.            The village Ieud is situated 50 km away from Sighet in the Iza Valley. The village is famous due to its wood church, which is one of the largests old constructions of Romania. It is called wood cathedral of gothical cathedral and is the most beautiful one of the 31 old wood churches of theMaramures area. Rozalvea is a large locality in the Iza Valley. The church is one of the most beautiful contruction works in Romania. It was built between 1717 and 1720. 
In the afternoon, the group will cross the Prislop Pass, in order to reachSuceava – the former capital of the Romanian “Moldaviae”, where are to be seen many onjects of interest. The tourists will visit the old fortress of the city. Dinner and overnight accomodation in Suceava area  or environment at a 3* Hotel.
 
5th DAY SUCEAVA – CAMPULUNG MOLDOVENESC – SUCEAVA
Breakfast in the morning. The group begins to visit the Moldovita Monastery, worldwide know due to its external wall painting. The tourist have here the opportunity to be introduced into the world of the orthodox faith by Sister Tatjana. It`s very interresting to know that the Church was painted five years after its donation in 1532. Here the group can see scenes from the Bible. The monastery received museum furniture from the 16th century : the armchair of the founder, Petru Rares. Over the Obcina mountain was built the Sucevita Monastery, where the group can recognize another painting style. The fresces are painted in a predominantly green background. This monastery possesses, among other things, the most beautiful Ikonostasefrom all country. The chruch of Sucevita is the most visited monastery fromBucovina. The painting, which brought the surname “Green Juwell”, is painted with thousands of persons, angels and martyrs, prophets and bishops. In the proximity, there is also the ceramics center of Marginea, where one can see the production of black ceramics . The VoronetMonastery, which is called "The Sixtine Chapel" of Romania, is visited in the afternoon. The monastery Voronet disappeared, and now you can only see its ruins; the monastery was built by Stephen the Great, in the 15thcentury. ". In the afternoon the group will visit Humor and Arboremonasteries. The Arbore monastery is very small, but likewise very famous for its fresces. The large and repeated attaks of the Turks and Cossaks profanated thePutna monastery.  In the evening - folklore dinners and overnight accomodationin Suceava area or environment 3* Hotel .
 
6th DAY CAMPULUNG MOLDOVENESC – PREDEAL
After breakfast, the group parts for Piatra Neamt. They will visit the monasteries : Agapia and Varatec which have over 1000 nuns and are the largest ones in Europe. The workshop of the nuns, where they produce carpets, embroideries or icons is opened also in the afternoon. A visit to the Neamt Monastery follows, where an important number of monks live. The Neamt Monastery is one of the most interesting monasteries: in theMiddle Ages it was an important Orthodox cultural centre with schools for miniature painters and copyes and also a fortress. They will also see the grave of a monk, that came here with his 60 pupils back in the 18 thcentury. Afterwards, the group will visit St. John`s Church built by Stephan. Then, the group will go and see the artificial lake Bicaz and theRed Lake. Afterwards, they will visit the Church Castles Prejmer or Harman. In the afternoon, they will drive to Brasov, where in the old part of the town they will visit the Black Church – the largest gothical church in Eastern Europe. Here are exposed a lot of valuable Turkish Carpets. The Old City Hall is visited. Dinner and overnight stay in Sinaia/Predeal area.

7th DAY SINAIA/PREDEAL –BRAN – SINAIA/PREDEAL
After breakfast, in the morning, the group will go visiting the Peles Castlein Sinaia. This castle was the summer residence of the Royal Family. In 1875-1914 the first romanian king, Carol I von Hohenzollern. To the mixture of wood, stone and framework architecture with asymmetrical towers in the style of the German Renaissance, are added Italian terraces, build in baroque style. The Peles Castle, built in the Bavarian Style, reminds the Hohenzollern`s of homeland. Sinaia is a city in the South Carpathians, which got the name from the monks from the Sinai Penninsula, because of the monastery, which was built here, in the now called town of Sinaia. In the afternoon, the group will go visiting the Bran Castle, which is also called Dracula`s Castle. This name was established a long time ago by the Teutonen and strengthened  afterwardsby the German guids from Brasov. In reality, Vlad Tepes – Dracula never entered there – he was a hospodar in Wallachia, not in Transilvania. But it was convenient to say that he did in the Middle Ages, because back then,Transilvania was very powerfully , and it however reminds of the description of the Dracula Castle made by Bram Stocker. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Sinaia/Predeal.
 
8th DAY PREDEAL – BUCHAREST- UK
After the breakfast in the morning, the group goes to Bucharest. After a short city tour, and visits at : the Palace of Parliament – the second largest building in the world after the Pentagonm, the Village Museum, the group goes to the airport and says good-bye to their romanian guide and take a flight to reach UK.
